Some Intro
The rapid changes in our lives the last century, created many difficulties to ordinary lives and to people’s mental health. In the common difficulties the high levels of stress and anxiety are included. Common causes of stress include work, money, relationships and illness. The spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in the end of 2019 exaggerated the stress levels in the population.
Stress is a feeling of emotional or physical tension. It can come from any event or thought that makes you feel frustrated, angry, or nervous. Stress is your body's reaction to a challenge or demand, which causes low levels of functionality. It includes significant mental and physical symptoms.
In this context, Stress management is one of the most important soft skills that people should have nowadays in order to be physically and mentally healthy, happy, creative and productive. This training is a psychoeducational training programme for people who want to manage their stress levels efficiently and live a happy life every day.

Stress management techniques have been really popular the last century, because of the demanding requirements of the ordinary lives.
As more and more people need to manage their stress and anxiety, this training provide the opportunity to become educated on how to apply these techniques to ourselves and in addition on how to help others managing these feelings.
With the use of live experiential exercises, we aim to educate participants in stress management techniques. Also, they will gain experience on how to apply these techniques to other people, in order to help them deal with their stress feelings and overcome a stress crisis.
Objectives
By completing this course participants will:
- Understand what is the stress and which are the causing factors.
- Understand which is the physical and mental symptomatology of stress.
- Gain knowledge on which are the stress management techniques
- Be educated on how to do the stress management techniques to themselves.
- Be educated on how to do the stress management techniques to others.
- Be educated on counselling techniques, beneficial for the reduction of the stress symptomatology and for the improvement of the mental health.
Methodology
In this training we will introduce and analyze the stress symptomatology and the causing factors with the use of lectures and oral presentations. Clinical cases will be presented for enhancing participant’s knowledge on the topic.
The stress management techniques will be firstly presented and explained to the participants and then they will have the opportunity to practice hands on. Specifically, they will do all the exercises live, with the tutor’s guidance, in specific contexts.
Also, they will gain knowledge and experience on how to apply them in practice and help other people manage stress symptomatology with role playing and practice in duals and groups.
