About Us

Academy for Educational Innovation (AEI) is a Greek not-for-profit educational organization which designs innovative educational programs, and delivers a broad spectrum of training courses and activities. Founded in 2017 in Larissa, Greece, AEI is run by EEPEK (Scientific Association for the Promotion of Educational Innovation, http://www.eepek.gr), a not-for-profit association of educators from all levels of education with over 23,000 members including experienced trainers, school counselors and coaches, and adult educators. Over the last five years, EEPEK has formed a dynamic learning community, the largest in Greece, by delivering over 180 seminars of a total duration exceeding 44,500 hours, providing more than 15 million person-hours of seminars to education professionals.

EEPEK has more than 23.700 active members (teachers of all education levels), organized 8 International Conferences with more than 600 papers in each conference, issues an International Scientific Journal, has approximately 1,500 members who participate in the various Scientific Committees, has approximately 3,500 partner schools of Primary and Secondary Education in Greece and organizes a lot of Festivals, Competitions and other events.

The social enterprise ComMedi (Communities of Mediterranean) is an independent, non-governmental organization, dedicated to the development and strengthening of civil society in the region of the Mediterranean. Since its establishment ComMedi has developed a substantive experience and expertise in the fields of active citizenship, peace and reconciliation, development education, human rights education, intercultural dialogue, and participation.

The organisation works both with KA1 and KA2 actions of Erasmus projects and other EU funded projects, as well including Creative Europe, while actively engaging in capacity building activities and trainings to enhance knowledge and skills on cultural, artistic, sustainability and civic issues.

ComMedi is active both in national and international level, organising trainings, artisc and cultural activities and projects, working with schools (both teachers and students), municipalities, embassies and local NGOs, youth centers and art clubs.
